AIP funded services are a vital part of the approach to learning and behaviour support. Our local area provisions provide separate short to medium term teaching and support tailored to the needs of pupils who have SEMH needs. Our Outreach teams support may consist of intensive nurture provision, group work, coaching/mentoring and one2one in school support.
Each AIP service focusses on a specific key stage however our support stretches area wide and is not based on geographical location. The support is for all school located in the North West wedge who have signed and adhere to the AIP/LA/Schools agreement.
Outreach at Primary phase is delivered by our dedicated Primary team with the Project Director and Inclusion Manager working across both phase groups. The Secondary Outreach support worker primarily supports the Secondary phase and Managed moves therein.
We currently have 2 medium sized support centre's supporting children in key stage 1 – 4.
TRUST (Primary) and the Pennington Centre (Secondary) opened in 2019. TRUST is an amalgamation of Orchard and L2L with the inclusion of new staff. The Pennington centre staff were previously based at West Leeds Activity Learning Centre and the team remains the same with expectant new recruits. The Primary Outreach team is a mixture of the previously known PDC team and new recruits. The Primary Outreach team are based on the same site as TRUST with Secondary at Escher House.
